Twitter is a social networking/blogging site that allows you to communicate with people via short messages or "tweets".

How do you use it?
First, set up a profile page. This page will allow you to post updates. You can provide as much or as little information about yourself as you like on your profile page.

To "tweet" or "twitter", start posting updates. These are a maximum of 140 characters long and can be about anything you choose... what you are currently doing, what you are thinking about or even links to other websites or photo sites you want to share.

Anyone can follow your updates, but if someone you don't know starts following you, you have the option to block them. To start following other people's updates or "tweets", simply search for their name in the Twitter search and click on the "follow" button. You can also follow the public timeline which allows you to follow all updates on Twitter as they are posted in real-time.
