From: 10,001 Time Saving Ideas

The big banks will almost certainly look after your money with a high degree of safety, but today they’re not the only people who offer competitive financial services, including credit cards. Building societies, community banks, credit unions and a number of other institutions offer money-management services – many of which are available online.

Internet banking has encouraged many new services – savings counts sometimes charge lower (or no) fees and pay better interest rates than funds deposited in conventional savings accounts. Add to that the fact that you can access them form your own home at any hour of the day or night, and you’ll save on time as well as money. Paying bills online will save you hours, too.
